Bettina is best known for playing Natascha in the crime drama Casino Jack, starring Kevin Spacey. Subsequently, she portrayed a Park Avenue Socialite on the brink of divorce in Justin Ervin's film Six Months Later.
I was reared in Europe and the USA. After a professional figure skating career, I studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in NYC. I worked as a model throughout those years. I began my acting career on stage in New York while getting my B.A. at Columbia University. I also hold an M.A. in English Literatures & Cultures, and a PhD in English Literature. My PhD focused on acting, Shakespeare, and cognitive neuroscience by examining what it is that exceptional actors do when they resonate with audiences, and how to capture these actors’ performances in words.
I was born in the Stuttgart vicinity of Germany to an academic mother and father. I moved to NYC at a young age to attend school. My maternal grandfather was an actor, luthier, engineer, and one of the first private pilots. My great-great-grandfather, Georg Leib, was the Royal Councillor of Commerce to Bavaria's Prince Luitpold, and has two streets named after him in Munich and environs. You can read about my family here.

With all its ups and lows, and childhood of blood, sweat, and tears, figure skating is one of the most beautiful things I have ever done.
