Bettina is best known for playing Natascha in the crime drama Casino Jack, starring Kevin Spacey. Subsequently, she portrayed a Park Avenue Socialite on the brink of divorce in Justin Ervin's film Six Months Later.
Bettina was reared in both Europe and the USA. After a professional figure skating career, she studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in NYC. She worked as a model throughout those years. Bettina began her acting career on stage in New York while getting her B.A. at Columbia University. She also holds both a PhD and a M.A. in English Literatures & Cultures. Due to a long-term health issue, Bettina decided that writing a doctoral dissertation on acting was going to keep her close and up-to-date on her line of work. Not only is Bettina back to full health and ready to resume her career, but she has also gained renewed perspective and a greater sense of purpose in life. Bettina reads voraciously, loves to observe people and learn from them. She loves dancing and the discipline of long-distance running, remaining an athlete at heart. She is always accompanied by Mr. Bingley, her mischievous Maltipoo. An ardent admirer of hand-crafted couture, she cannot resist the artistry of a glittery gown.
Bettina was born in Germany to an academic mother and father. She moved to NYC at a young age in order to attend school. Her maternal grandfather was an actor, luthier, engineer, and a pilot. Bettina's great-great-grandfather, Georg Leib, was the Royal Councillor of Commerce to Bavaria's Prince Luitpold, and has several streets named after him in Munich and environs. With all its ups and lows, and childhood of blood, sweat, and tears, figure skating is one of the most beautiful things I have ever done.
